The band used Twitter to tell fans about the surprise new track, posting:

'Bagboy' can be downloaded for free from Pixies' official website by submitting an email address. It's the band's first new track since 2004's 'Bam Thwok', which was released exclusively through iTunes.

Earlier this month (June), it was confirmed that bassist Kim Deal had quit the Pixies. After splitting in 1993, the band reformed in 2004 and toured their 1989 album 'Doolittle' between 2009 and 2011 with Deal. They haven't toured since.
