David Bowie's 'Sound And Vision 2013' remix set for digital release Get Tickets
An extended version of the remix released for Sony's Xperia Z ad campaign to be available in October.
The remix, which was originally unveiled as a 58-second clip in an advert for a new Sony phone back in February, will come out on October 7 via Parlophone Records. The original version of 'Sound And Vision', which hit Number Three in the UK charts when originally released, is also to be re-released in conjunction with the remix. The announcement was made earlier today (August 16) via a statement on Bowie’s official website, with the heading "Waiting for the gift". In the message, fans are told to beware of a fake remix that has appeared on YouTube, and wait for the official release of the remix this autumn.
Meanwhile, Michael Eavis recently said that he is sure David Bowie could headline Glastonbury again. The singer is being strongly tipped to play the 2014 event, having previously headlined the festival in 1971 and 2000.
Speaking after the Worthy Farm festival earlier this year, Eavis said: "The younger ones sort out most of the music, but I like to book the headline names... I can't tell you at the moment who that will be as we're still talking to people. David's done it a couple of times before but I'm sure he could come back again."
David Bowie released his 26th studio album, 'The Next Day', in March of this year.
