Harvey is sure to be in a buoyant mood after her eighth studio album 'Let England Shake' was named on Tuesday (July 19) as one of the 12 nominees for the Barclaycard Mercury Prize for 2011.

The singer has also been named as joint favourite for the prize, ranked at 4/1 on to win alongside Adele's '21'.

Harvey, who is currently touring mainland Europe, will return to the UK to play Bestival and two headline shows at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall on September 4 and Manchester's O2 Apollo on September 8.

The singer has recently said that she believes it could take her up to 10 years to write and record the follow-up to 'Let England Shake'.
