The band tackle classics from the likes of Kate Bush and Boney M on a bonus disc which appears on the re-release of fourth LP 'Sleeping With Ghosts'...

PLACEBO are to release a special bonus disc made up entirely of cover versions - including the band's take on Pixies's 'RUNNING UP THAT HILL'.

Appearing on the forthcoming re-release of their latest album, 'Sleeping With Ghosts' - due out September 22 - the disc will also feature the band try their hand at the ' 'Where Is My Mind?', [a][/a]' 'Bigmouth Strikes Again' and Boney M's 'Daddy Cool'.

Disc One will feature the original tracks from the album, including the singles 'Bitter End', 'This Picture' and 'Special Needs', which is due for release as a single on September 8.

The tracks covered by Placebo on the bonus disc are:


Kate Bush - 'Running Up That Hill'
The Pixies - 'Where Is My Mind?'
The Smiths - 'Bigmouth Strikes Again'
Robert Palmer - 'Johnny and Mary'
T-Rex - '20th Century Boy'
Serge Gainsbourg - 'The Ballad of Melody Nelson'
Big Star - 'Holocaust'
Depeche Mode - 'I Feel You'
Boney M - 'Daddy Cool'
Sinead O'Connor- 'Jackie'
