Plan B, Emeli Sande, Rita Ora lead MOBO Awards nominations

Labrinth, Ed Sheeran and Professor Green are among the other acts up for awards at this year's bash

Emeli Sande, Plan B and Rita Ora have scored the most nominations for this year's MOBO Awards.

The 'Strickland Banks' star is nominated for a total of five awards, which include Best Male, Best Hip-Hop/Grime Act, Best Video, Best Song and Best Album for his new soundtrack 'iLL Manors'.

Sande, meanwhile, is up for Best Female, Best R&B/Soul Act, Best Video, Best Song and Best Album for 'Our Version Of Events'.

She faces stiff competition from Rita Ora in a number of categories, with the 'RIP' star also nominated for Best Female, Best Video and Best Album. Ora is also up for Best Newcomer alongside the likes of Stooshe, Conor Maynard and Delilah.

Labrinth is also up for four awards, including Best Male, Best Hip-Hop/Grime Act, Best Song and Best Album. Ed Sheeran is also up for three awards, Best Male, Best Album and Best Song for his track 'Lego House'. The likes of Professor Green, Jessie Ware, Wiley and Rizzle Kicks have also scored multiple nods.

The awards ceremony will take place at Liverpool's Echo Arena on November 3. Winners will be chosen by a public vote, which is underway now at
