Portishead have revealed their first new material in nine years.
The two songs - ’Greek Jam’ and ’Key Bored 299 03’ - have appeared on the band’s Myspace page.
The songs are the first new tracks from the band since their self-titled second album was released in 1997.
As previously reported by NME.COM, the band have been hard at work on their third album.
Founding member Geoff Barrows explained in a Myspace post:
“The tracks are in a right mess but sounding like a album for the first time in years they (are) a bit weird though. Its great - its nice to think us old gits have a few tunes in us without sounding like coffee table Zero 7 – Moby - chill out shit!”
