Portishead play new songs at comeback show

Portishead previewed a series of tracks from their forthcoming album at a homecoming show last night (December 15).

The band played an intimate gig at the Bristol Academy, their second in the last week in nearly 10 years.

The packed show came off the back of their performance at All Tomorrow's Parties Nightmare Before Christmas which they curated in Minehead between December 7-9.

Earlier this year they made an impromptu acoustic appearance at Bristol's Mr Wolf venue.

The band are currently working on an new album which is expected to be released in April 2008.
