He plays the hits for the football fans

Prince played the Superbowl XL1 halftime show yesterday (January 4).

The star played a medley of hits, including three songs from his 1984 ’Purple Rain’ album.

Prince also played a cover of Jimi Hendrix's version of Bob Dylan’s ’All Along The Watchtower’ and of Ike & Tina Turner's version Creedence Clearwater Revival's 'Proud Mary', with singer Shelby Johnson on vocals.

Prince's performance also featured a marching band.

‘Purple Rain’


The Superbowl saw the Indianapolis Colts win against the Chicago Bears.
