Prince has revealed a brand new song, 'Groovy Potential'.

A one minute, 22 second clips of the song was posted to YouTube yesterday (August 13), with the full track available for purchase at Prince's official website.

Prince has released a slew of new music online in recent months via his 3rdeyegirl website. Earlier this year, Prince and his band 3rdEyeGirl embarked on a theatre tour of North America, with gigs in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Las Vegas, San Diego, Anaheim and Denver. They played two shows a night at most venues.

Prince will also appear on Janelle Monáe's forthcoming album 'The Electric Lady', which is released in September. The Purple One will appear on a track named 'Givin Em What They Love'. Monáe has said of Prince: "We are great friends, and he is a mentor to us, to me. It's a beautiful thing to have a friend - someone who cares about your career, and wants to see you go far and to push boundaries and shake up the world - give whatever they possibly can to the cause."

Meanwhile, Prince was spotted backstage at Kings Of Leon's show at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire last week.
