Professor Green has said he wants The Streets' Mike Skinner to get in touch.

The rapper, who releases second album 'At Your Inconvenience' on Monday, October 31, was previously signed to Skinner's label The Beats label, and says he's lost touch with his former boss.

"We worked on a record and I've not heard from him since. I don't have a number for him. I still speak to loads of people who are around him, but not him. I don't think he's in a particularly brilliant place.

"I always liked Mike. He was always different, but he's an artist and artists do tend to have their quirks and their own ways. But it'd be nice to hear from him, I thought we were mates. We've never so much as argued, so it would be nice to know if he's all right, really, and what's going on with him."

Reflecting on why his career didn't take off when signed to The Beats, Green, real name Stephen Manderson, said: "It wasn't my time, and that's turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

"They had the best of intentions, but they didn't know their arse from their elbow when it came to running a label," he continued.

"That said, it was a brilliant time in my life. There was a lot of wrong shit going on, but it was cool."
