Professor Green has revealed that he might be working with Echo And The Bunnymen frontman Ian McCulloch.

The rapper revealed that he is currently taking piano and guitar lessons and has discussed with McCulloch, who is the father of his girlfriend – Hollyoaks actress Candy McCulloch – the possibility of collaborating.

Professor Green was last night (January 12) nominated for Best British Male at the 2012 Brit Awards launch.

In an interview with The Mirror, Professor Green, real name Stephen Manderson, also spoke about a relationship he had with a now successful female singer which was based on "pill binges". Of the unnamed singer he said: "We ended up loving each other at weekends, hating each other all week." He continued: "The comedowns were very apparent. Drugs are a horrible thing to get too wrapped up in."

Manderson, who used to deal drugs, went on to say: "I can't think of anything worse than waking up and doing a line of coke. But I still see a lot of people taking it. If I was to sell it now I'd be a rich guy."

He also explained that he never sold crack or heroin in his dealing days, but said: "I never tried heroin either. I think I'd love it far too much."

Professor Green - who collaborated with Lily Allen on his 2010 hit 'Just Be Good To Green' - said he missed the singer, who recently gave birth to her first child. "I miss her as an artist," he explained, adding that he'd thought about sending her a track for them to work on together, but that it felt "weird asking her".
