Professor Green has been charged with drink driving following his arrest last year.

The rapper was arrested on drink driving charges after phoning police to report that he had been mugged outside his house in November 2013. BBC News reports that Green, whose real name is Stephen Manderson, was charged while answering bail on Tuesday and will appear before Bromley magistrates on March 20.

Manderson was taken into custody on suspicion of drink driving after calling the police to report that his Rolex had been taken from him during the early hours of Sunday (November 3). When officers arrived, they reportedly discovered that his Mercedes had been involved in a crash.

Professor Green was also arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice in the same month last year. However, the Crown Prosecution Service has since confirmed that all charges relating to that arrest have been dropped.

Previously in 2013 Professor Green was hospitalised after being crushed between two cars. The 'Read All About It' rapper was picking up a hire car to travel to play at a student ball when he was accidentally sandwiched between a ML63 and an SLS AMG.
