PROPELLERHEAD WILL WHITE HOSPITALIZED

Propellerheads have cancelled all live dates this summer because Will White (pictured) is seriously ill.

A spokeswoman says Will has been unwell for some time but that the condition has only recently been diagnosed. She says: "Without wishing to discuss Will's health in too much detail, he's been extremely unwell and he's in hospital undergoing treatment. Then he'll require quite a few months' convalescence. The most important thing is to try and get him well again."

All Propellerheads' plans for the rest of the year have been shelved. The spokeswoman adds that Will's partner in the band, Alex Gifford, may make some solo DJ appearances at festivals this summer.

Propellerheads were due to play the Meltdown Festival on London's South Bank on July 3. Their replacement will be announced shortly.
