The rappers make their first British appearance in three years...

THE ENEMY RETURN!

PUBLIC ENEMY are to play the 2003 ALL TOMORROW'S PARTIES festival in the UK. .


The rap legends will play the Autechre-curated event on April 4 , their first UK appearance since 2000's Essential Festival.


As previously reported on NME.COM, Aphex Twin, Shellac and Autechre were among the first acts to be announced for the event.

While the UK event will revert to its original format of taking place over one weekend, having been extended to two last year, festival organisers plan to extend its presence in the USA next year, with 'The Simpsons'’ creator Matt Groening curating ATP in Los Angeles and Stephen Malkmus overseeing the event in New York. Last year saw the inaugural American event in Los Angeles. Details of who will appear next year are yet to be announced.

At the Camber Sands event, which runs from April 4 – 6, the acts already announced are:

Festival promoter Barry Hogan, said: "[/a] produced an amazing event in the UK last year. I have no doubt that next year’s will be our best yet. [a] have put together an amazing line-up…we are not finished yet."
