Flavor Flav's last remaining fried chicken restaurant has shut down.

According to TMZ, the Public Enemy rapper's fast food restaurant in Sterling Heights, Michigan was closed on Wednesday (July 25) after a prolongued battle between the landlord and Flav's business partners.

The Michigan branch of Flav's Fried Chicken & Ribs was the last remaining location of the franchise left. Other locations, Flav's Fried Chicken in Iowa and House of Flavor in Las Vegas, both closed within six months of opening.

Back in April 2011, the rapper claimed that he would be pulling out of the planned restaurant chain – and blamed it on a potato salad. "Let me be straight up with you," he told TMZ previously after visiting the flagship Iowa branch on April 2 that year. "I found potato salad that expired on 28 February, and it's then when I realised I can't do business [there] and I really hope no one ate those potatoes."

Flav reportedly pulled his involvement in the restaurant after he “exchanged harsh words” with his business partner, Nick Cimino, whom Flav claimed was not "running the business right”. Cimino replied that Flav was "a fraud who was trying to get rich off of his ideas and work".
