Pulled Apart By Horses and Blood Red Shoes have confirmed details of a joint single they will be releasing later this year.

Both acts will cover each others songs for the split 7" with Pulled Apart By Horses taking on 'Heartsink' by the Brighton duo. In return Blood Red Shoes will cover the Leeds band's debut album track 'Get Off My Ghost Train'. The vinyl single will also feature two sides of artwork created by Laura Mary Carter and Tom Hudson upon its release on March 11.

To celebrate the release, James Brown of Pulled Apart By Horses will also be playing guitar with Blood Red Shoes tomorrow night at their headline show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London (January 22).

Meanwhile, Blood Red Shoes today released their new EP 'Water'. The three new tracks were recorded in Dallas, Texas in October 2012 with producer John Congleton, who has previously worked with The Roots, The Walkmen and Explosions In The Sky.

The tracklisting for 'Water' is:

'Red River'
'Black Distractions'
'Idle Hands'
