Pulp, Elastica, Supergrass for 'Common People' Britpop compilation
A new three-CD compilation album, 'Common People. The Britpop Story', is set for release on June 8.

The compilation features Pulp, The Stone Roses, Supergrass and Super Furry Animals – but not Oasis or Blur, who are widely credited to have kick-started the 1990s movement and were the two biggest UK bands of the time.

Sleevenotes for the album have been written by Saint Etienne's Bob Stanley, who wrote for Melody Maker during the Britpop era.
