Pulp have announced two new London headline shows for late summer.

The band, who headlined Wireless Festival in London last night (July 3), will play O2 Academy Brixton on August 31 and September 1. These dates will be the band's first non-festival shows to go on general sale in the UK, with previous appearances only taking place either at festivals and an unannounced gig at Saint Martins College.

There is no indication as yet as to whether other dates will be announced for the autumn, or if these shows will be one-offs.

The gigs take place a few days after the band play Reading And Leeds Festivals, where they co-headline with The Strokes. Muse and My Chemical Romance are the festival's other headliners.

Pulp are also booked to make an appearance at T In The Park in Scotland this weekend.

Tickets go on sale on Friday (July 8) at 9am (BST).To check the availability of Pulp tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/TICKETS now, or call 0871 230 1094.
