Pulp have confirmed that they will make new track 'After You' available to download from next week.

The band gave away the James Murphy-produced track as a present on Christmas Day 2012 to fans who attended Pulp’s Sheffield Arena show on December 8. It will now be available to download from iTunes from January 28.

'After You' was first demoed by the band during the sessions for their 2001 album 'We Love Life', but the new version is a fresh version recorded in November 2012 before finishing it off with former LCD Soundsystem frontman Murphy in December.

On December 8 (2012), Pulp played a triumphant homecoming show at Sheffield's Motorpoint Arena. Fans attending the bash were handed a Christmas card containing the following message: "We got you a little present but you can't open it til Xmas day, OK? If you enter this code into a computer anytime after midnight on Xmas Eve you will get a nice surprise - but no peeking before then! That would be naughty."

As promised, the link was activated at 00.01am on December 25, enabling fans who attended the show to download the new version of 'After You', which runs over a minute longer than the previously leaked demo.

Jarvis Cocker, meanwhile, has spoken about Pulp's future plans – and says that he and his bandmates haven't ruled out recording more new material.
