PULP have confirmed final details of their new album 'PULP'.

The record, long-awaited follow-up to 1998's 'This is Hardcore', is released on October 22, via Island.

As previously revealed on NME.COM, the record had been given working title of 'Pulp Love Life', but 'Pulp' was considered more appropriate at the 11th hour.

Explaining the Scott Walker-produced album, vocalist Jarvis Cocker said: "This record deals with fundamental things. In some ways I suppose it's quite childlike. We stripped away all the things and in the end we were left with bare earth, trees and nature."

A confirmed tracklisting for the record is: 'Weeds'
'Weeds II (Origin Of The Species)'
'The Night Minnie Timperly Died'
'The Trees'
'Wickerman'
'I Love Life'
'Birds In Your Garden'
'Bob Lind'
'Bad Cover Version'
'Roadkill'
'Sunrise'

The album is preceded by a new single, 'The Trees'/'Sunrise' on October 8.
