Josh Homme has surgery

British Queens Of The Stone Age fans hold their breath again...

JOSH HOMME has had knee surgery – but has insisted his hospitalisation won’t affect Queens Of The Stone Age’s long-delayed return to LONDON.

A spokesperson for the band has told NME.COM that the singer has had surgery on his knee after he tore his meniscus on stage in Australia last month.

The spokesperson added: “The tour will continue because of the band's refusal to separate themselves from their Mistress of London. Queens Of The Stone Age are doing this tour for the fans of the UK that have already endured five cancellations.”

Shows were originally pulled at the start of the year when Homme fell ill. Then, two gigs set for July 7 were postponed after the terrorist attacks on the city.

The band will now play London Carling Brixton Academy on August 22 and a smaller show at KOKO on August 23.
