Queens Of The Stone Age treat Reading Festival to greatest hits set

Josh Homme's band are in a crowd-pleasing mood

Queens Of The Stone Age treated Reading Festival to a greatest hits set as they performed on the Main Stage tonight (August 27).

Playing before headliners Guns N' Roses, Josh Homme's band brought out their biggest tunes, including 'No One Knows', 'Go With The Flow' and 'Little Sister', for the fans.

"Reading, we're Queens Of The Goddamn Stone Age," Homme declared, as his band took the stage. "We've brought something special for you!"

The group, with the same line-up that toured 2007's 'Era Vulgaris', then launched into 'Feel Good Hit Of The Summer' and 'The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret', the first two tracks from their recently reissued second album, 2000's 'Rated R'.

Following the same album's closer, 'I Think I Lost My Headache', Homme took time to praise the festival, saying: "I love this festival so goddamn much, look at it. It's fucking perfect."

During a break in the set's final song, 'A Song For The Dead', the frontman said, "Guns N' Roses", before pausing and then adding, "I just wanted to see what you'd say."
