Queens Of The Stone Age have been overtaken by Disclosure in the race for this Sunday's UK Number One album spot.

On Wednesday (June 5), Josh Homme's band were in the lead but their new album '...Like Clockwork' was "only a few thousand copies ahead" of Disclosure's debut offering 'Settle'. Now the top two positions have been reversed.

According to the Official Chart Company, Disclosure are now "out in front by over 2,000 copies". Queens Of The Stone Age have until midnight tomorrow (June 8) to close the gap and the victor will be announced during BBC Radio 1's Official Chart Show from 4-7pm on Sunday.

Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories', Number One for the past fortnight, looks set to slip to third going on Wednesday's figures. Miles Kane is likely to make a high debut with his second album 'Don't Forget Who You Are'.

Meanwhile, Elton John - a guest on '...Like Clockwork' - has recently declared it "probably the best rock album by any band in about five or six years". Queens Of The Stone Age are confirmed for Radio 1 Rocks week, which kicks off this coming Monday, June 10, and runs until Thursday, June 13. The band will perform at London's Maida Vale studios on the first day alongside fellow guests Jimmy Eat World.
