Singer was swindled out of tour profits

R Kelly has been awarded over $3 million after being swindled by a promoter who lied about tour profits.

An arbitrator decided that the singer should be awarded the money in back pay from Rowe Entertainment after company head Leonard Rowe allegedly sold shares of the concerts for cash investments but then told investors that the shows made a loss.

Kelly is now asking a judge to help him collect the money owed to him by seeking a confirmation of the arbitrator’s decision.

The R&B star was acquitted of child pornography charges earlier this year.
