Ra Ra Riot prepare for gig in honour of late drummer

Ra Ra Riot, Vampire Weekend and Tokyo Police Club are gearing up for a show in honour of late Ra Ra Riot drummer John Pike who died tragically in an accident earlier this year.

The ‘Friends Of John’ benefit concert will take place December 15 at the Middle East in Boston, and proceeds will go to the John Ryan Pike Memorial Foundation.

The foundation aims to begin a lending library of musical instruments that will allow underprivileged children to begin playing by borrowing an instrument, or simply provide them access to an instrument that they may have never tried before.

Tickets to the show are $15, but donations can also be made via Paypal to johnrpikememorialfund@gmail.com.

Donations can also be mailed to Citizens Bank 37 Enon St, Beverly, MA 01915.

Meanwhile, Ra Ra Riot are gearing up to record their debut album in Seattle early next month.
