Radio 4 performance cancelled

Radio 4's scheduled performance at Brooklyn venue Northsix last night (January 31) was cancelled at the last minute after the power supply to the venue was disconnected by the electricity company a day early.

The band were getting ready play the club's last ever show, but were contacted minutes before leaving for the gig.

“We were just about load up our stuff,” guitarist Dave Milone told NME.COM, “so I’m really glad we didn’t load all our equipment before finding out.”

He also expressed disappointment at losing the opportunity to be the last band ever to play the venue.

“We were really looking forward to the show,” he admitted “People had been talking about it for the past month or so. We must have ran over a bird on the road the last time we went on tour because our karma hasn’t been good lately!”

Meanwhile the venue’s website posted the following announcement:

"We regret to announce that for reasons beyond our control (Con Edison disconnected power to the building one day too early) tonight’s final Northsix show has been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience to those who purchased tickets and especially to the bands that so graciously agreed to play our last show."
