Radiohead are set to make their dance debut when a ballet soundtracked exclusively by them will make its premiere at the Edinburgh International Festival.

Choreographer Stephen Petronio has chosen to set 'Ride The Beast' to their music.

He has selected five tracks spanning their career to “complement the layered complexity and primal nature of his new work,” according to Scottish Ballet.

Petronio said: “Radiohead’s music is a brilliant investigation of achingly modern taste. They sail through genre and form effortlessly and passionately and their music demands a physical response from me that bypasses reason. I have to live with music so intimately while creating with it, I simply have to work with music I love.”

’Ride The Beast’ will be performed by the Scottish Ballet at Edinburgh Playhouse from August 18 to 20, reports The Herald.
