As previously reported on NME.COM, the band have shocked the music industry by releasing the album as a download, with fans choosing how much to pay for the album.

The album, the band’s seventh studio effort, will only be available exclusive through Radiohead.com for now, but Radiohead say they are current planning a “traditional CD release” of ’In Rainbows’ for early next year.

You can now
get a sneak preview of what the new Radiohead album sounds like
on the NME Office Blog.

Plus as you can name your own price tell us how much you will play for the new Radiohead album.

Also as there is current no artwork to go with 'In Rainbows' NME.COM has created some to fill in the gap. Head to the NME Office blog now and get some free MP3 player/ CD-R friendly artwork.

THE BEST ALBUM THEY HAVE MADE

Oof - what a stinker. I honestly thought I was listening to Coldplay or somesuch at first. And I do like Radiohead quite a lot. In fairness it's not all appalling but some of it is and the rest is bland and undistinguished. It's like a particularly weedy version of Thom Yorke's solo work. Such a shame - you just know that people will be saying that they had to give it away to avoid a flop. I don't want to think that. But I do.

Hey milkidisco - trying to be a smartass, uh?
Why don´t you listen to the album BEFORE you post your cheap fuckin´ review.
YOU are the stinker.
In Rainbows is bliss and will be hailed as one of their finest album.
Period.

A very boring record. No real distinction between songs, lack of excitement and energy. No real standout tracks except for Faust Arp, but that has way too much Beatles and Pink Floyd in it. Just a rehash of their last few albums.

Crazy Borracho - I can assure that I did listen to the album the whole way through before posting my comment. Did you? I think it's easily their worst album but who knows - maybe it's a grower and not a shower.

On first listen I'd say it was Hail To The Thief part 2 - alright I s'pose, but a bit disappointing.
On the second listen though, things start clicking into place and making more sense, just as they did with Ok Computer - obviously a very good thing!
Look in the dictionary for the definition of 'grower', it will simply point you to this album

Wow! I'm surprised people in these comments are disappointed- this album is amazing!!! I absolutely love it! Even the rework of Videotape is growing on me. I LOVE 15 step, even though I didn't think I would. It's a classic album.

Fantastic, probably their second best album after OK Computer. All I Need and Reckoner are incredible!

Hope it's grower... Still, comparing this to Coldplay is unfair. Too elaborate.

i have to say this is the closest to OK computer (which imho is the best album ever made by a band), and kid A. It's like they said, a mix of both. All the songs are great. I think that this album will get really really close to OK Computer. I wish it was like 12 songs instead of 10 songs, because it's so good.

All in all, this album came as something i was expecting for 10 years!! Like the drug that i was missing....Thank you Radiohead :)

One of their best albums so far. The band continues to progress with their own style - no need for reinvention with new music of this quality.

Songs like House of Cards & Reckoner easily convey the subtle disturbing strength of songs like How to Disappear Completely. 15 Step & All I Need are classics.

Typical of RH, the album grows greatly with every play. Advice: re-play & re-play.
