Radiohead fans queue all day to see London live gig Radiohead Tickets

Fans speak to NME.COM about why they're queuing

Radiohead fans are queuing in their droves outside the Rough Trade East record shop off London’s Brick Lane in hope of getting in to see Radiohead perform tonight (January 16).

As previously reported on NME.COM, Radiohead will play songs from their new album, ‘In Rainbows’, tonight at the store.

David Bailey, an 18 year-old Radiohead fan from the band's native Oxford, told NME.COM that he had been queeing since 12:15 GMT. “I'm a big fan,” he said. “I haven't seen then before, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Matthew Cobble, 19, was writing an essay for his university course in the queue. “I’ve been here since 10.30,” he said. “We're all massive masochists.”

“It's my day off,” said 26 year-old Adain O'Neill. “The camaraderie in the queue is cool.”

Matt Foster, 19, said: “I'm a massive Radiohead fan. I'm studying at Royal Holloway so I literally jumped straight on the tube. I’ve been here for hours. This will be the third time I have seen them live.”

Lanfranco Palcotti, 24, said: “I was looking at the website this morning and I came straight away. I’ve bought tickets already for [the Radiohead tour in] June. I'm quite excited because it's their first gig since ‘In Rainbows’ was released.”
