Last-minute change means show is delayed to 9.30pm (GMT)

The Police threatened to close down Radiohead’s gig at the Rough Trade East shop in London tonight (January 16), forcing a last-minute venue change.

Radiohead will now play at the nearby 93 Feet East venue instead.

The venue may allow more fans, currently queuing outside the Rough Trade shop, to see the band.

The move means the gig will now begin at 9.30pm (GMT).

According to a statement on Radiohead.com the show was moved "On the advice of the police and the local council, it was decided to change the venue to the larger one in the interests of public safety and due to the size of the crowd that turned up for the event. Rough Trade and the band apologise for any inconvenience caused."

They added that there was now no point queuing up because "Allocated wristbands only remain valid for the new venue. Doors open at 9pm prompt. There will be no admittance to anyone without a wristband and there will be no screens or speakers outside the venue."

NME.COM will be bringing you a special blog live from the gig so you can follow all the action.

So the biggest self-publisists on the planet do it again. And who would have thought that the demand would outstrip the supply at Rough Trade East Shop? So let me guess - This tory will be in the papers and on the news over the next couple of days - Why do people continue to fall for these student rock idiots?
