Radiohead greatest hits on the way?

Former record label may delve into the band's vaults again

Radiohead's former record label EMI are planning to release a greatest hits compilation by the band, according to some online reports.

It is believed the collection could be issued to coincide with the band’s summer tour.

This would not be the first time EMI have released Radiohead material since the band parted ways with the label - in 2007 EMI issued a box set that spanned all six albums the band recorded for them.

Guitarist Ed O’Brien told the Canadian programme Radio Show: "They’re planning to do a Greatest Hits for April/May to coincide with our tour. That’s an interesting one. We won’t be doing any promotion for that, obviously."

Drummer Phil Selway also spoke about the possibility of the release an interview with Analogue, stating: “It’s well within their rights to do it. So we'll have to see.”

The Shockwaves NME Awards 2008 are coming soon – and it’s time to have your say. Vote now by heading to NME.COM/awardsvote and you could win VIP tickets to the ceremony, which takes place in London on February 28.

At last. It's great, all my favourites like Creep and High and Dry will be on one album and I won't have to wade through all the dodgy squonking ones anymore.

for people who are new to the band the best introduction is OK Computer, then The Bends and Kid A

to be honest i doubt a greatest hits would be a good idea, i mean they have WAYY too much good stuff to be able to shorten it down

I'm really against this "Greatest Hits". People new in the band should buy albums (especially Ok Computer, The Bends or In Rainbows), EMI cannot select like this some songs and put out some other !!
