Radiohead artist launches record label
Stanley Donwood has created some unique CD packages
Stanley Donwood, the artist who has crated the artwork for all Radiohead's album and poster artwork since 1994, has launched a new record label, Six Inch Records.
The label will only release three CDs – Patrick Bell's 'Travel Notes', Max de Mara's 'Classist', and The Joy Of Living's 'The Beyond Within'.
Exactly 333 copies of each album will be produced in six-inch square card packages, made by hand. The albums are priced at £6.66 each.
In a statement Donwood said the idea to package the discs in larger-than-normal packages was born because he believes CDs are "too small".
