RADIOHEAD have triumphed at the NME.COM NETSOUNDS AWARDS this afternoon (May 2), scooping the gong for Best Artist Website for www.radiohead.com.

The inaugural Awards, held during the opening day of the second annual NetSounds online music conference at London Hilton, honoured 11 websites.

Madonna's record-breaking Brixton Academy webcast last year, through www.doneanddusted.com, was hailed Music Web Event.

Radiohead were up against Ash's official site (www.ash-official.com) and Hole's official site (www.holemusic.com) in the category that marked the effectiveness of bands' communication with their fans.

Gorillaz' online marketing campaign won over Craig David[/url] and Daft Punk.

Daft Punk, however, scooped the award for Online Innovation, in which Blur's blur-radio.com project was also nominated.
