Vampire Weekend, Radiohead and The White Stripes feature on landmark XL Recordings compilation

Wide-ranging album 'Pay Close Attention' to be released on August 25

XL Recordings are to release a two-part compilation album celebrating the history of the label, which will include tracks by Vampire Weekend, Adele, The Prodigy and Radiohead.

'Pay Close Attention' will be released on August 25 and will be available on vinyl, CD and download. An interactive website featuring new and unseen content, including new interviews and performance footage from The White Stripes, Tyler, The Creator, The Prodigy and Bobby Womack can be viewed here.

The album is split into two parts with the first covering the dance and club orientated roots of the label. This includes tracks by SL2, The Prodigy's 'Out Of Space', Basement Jaxx and Jamie xx. A second disc looks at the label's more traditional releases and includes contributions from The Horrors, The xx, Gil Scott-Heron and Thom Yorke among others.
