Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello is set to release a comic book series.

The guitarist has penned a fantasy story entitled Orchid which tells the tale of a 16-year-old prostitute.

Each issue will also come with an exclusive track written and recorded by Morello, according to his official website Nightwatchmanmusic.com.

The first comic will be released through Dark Horse Comics on October 12. Scott Hepburn, who has previously illustrated Star Wars comics is providing the artwork for the series.

Morello recently declared that Jane's Addiction were more influential than Nirvana during a speech at the Guitar Center RockWalk in Hollywood.

'World Wide Rebel Songs', the third Nightwatchman album, will be released this August.

Morello is due to tour the UK later this year as The Nightwatchman and will play:

Nottingham Rock City (November 2)
O2 Academy Leeds (3)
O2 Academy Glasgow (4)
O2 Apollo Manchester (5)
O2 Academy Birmingham (7)
