Rage Against The Machine have announced details of the "victory" gig the band promised they play in the UK after beating X Factor to the Christmas Number One spot last year.

The band will play London's Finsbury Park on June 6, with tickets for the show set to be allocated by ballot.

Fans can register for the draw at TheRageFactor.co.uk until midnight (GMT) on Sunday (February 14).

Once registered, fans then need to apply for their tickets - using their registration number - at the same website, from 9am (GMT) on February 17, with a maximum of two tickets available per person.

Speaking to NME.COM after clinching the Number One spot last year following a fan-led campaign, guitarist Tom Morello declared they wanted the X Factor's Simon Cowell to host the show.

"We're thrilled about doing the gig," he added. "It's going to be the victory celebration to end all victory celebrations."
