Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello has announced details of a new upcoming EP to be released as the Street Sweeper Social Club - which will feature MIA and LL Cool J covers.

Entitled 'The Ghetto Blaster', the follow-up to their 2009 self-titled album will be released as a digitally on August 10, with a CD following on September 6.

The group, which is made up of guitarist Tom Morello and The Coup's rapper Boots Riley, will embark on a US tour around the release in August.

Featuring four new songs 'Ghetto Blaster', 'Everythang', 'The New Fuck You' and a remix of 2009 single 'Promenade', the seven-song release also includes covers of MIA's 'Paper Planes' and LL Cool J's 'Mama Said Knock You Out'.

Revealing the inspiration behind the MIA cover, Morello explained it was picked to "slay the goth children".

"I said, 'Boots [Riley]! We need a hot cover to slay the goth children!'," he said jokingly. "'Paper Planes' and two Justin Bieber songs, so we went with 'Paper Planes.'"

The tracklisting for 'The Ghetto Blaster' is as follows:

'Ghetto Blaster'
'Everythang'
'Paper Planes'
'The New Fuck You'
'Scars (Hold That Pose)'
'Mama Said Knock You Out'
'Promenade (Guitar Fury Remix)'
