Razorlight give fans unique insight into second album

Razorlight have secretly released a new track from their forthcoming second album tonight (April 3).

Although the band are still working at a West London studio on the follow-up to ‘Up All Night’, Johnny Borrell’s men have been streaming a new song via Razorlight.co.uk since 6pm UK time.

Called ‘Pop Song 2006’ when the band premiered the song last week at the Royal Albert Hall in London (March 30), the song can be heard simply by visiting the band's site.

An upbeat, rocky song that is remisicent of or The Las, it sees Borrell singing:

"It’s not easy and and you’re all confused/ got the story then it’s up to loose/," before crashing to the chorus "Feeling like that/ you don’t believe it at all/".

As previously reported the band are working in Chiswick with Sex Pistols producer Chris Thomas on their second LP, though they broke their studio hiatus last week to play the Royal Albert Hall gig for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Although there is currently no scheduled release date for the album, it is believed it will appear in July this year.
