Razorlight play surprise seaside gig Razorlight Tickets
The band perform on the beach
Razorlight played a surprise show in Brighton yesterday (July 13).
The band’s gig at The Seafront was only announced to fans three hours before the 6pm kick off, however around 4,500 punters – including local celebrity Fatboy Slim – turned up for the free performance.
Playing as part of Vodafone’s TBA series of gigs, the band used the opportunity to preview songs from their second album ‘Razorlight’ (released July 17), plus included older favourites like 'Vice', 'Golden Touch' and 'Rip It Up' in their 14-song set.
Footage from the show is been screened on Channel 4 on July 20, as part of a Razorlight weekend on the station.
Meanwhile, the band’s next UK shows are scheduled to be their headlining slot on the second stage at the V Festival on August 19 and 20.
