Teenager dies at RockNess festival

Second death in two years at Scottish event

A teenager has died at the RockNess Festival, the second death at the festival in two years.

Ryan Munro, aged 18, collapsed in front of the Main Stage and was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, where he later died.

Police were last night (June 8) investigating if drugs had played any part.

It is the second year in a row the festival has been marred by tragedy. At last year's event, company director Paul Litterick, aged 39, was found slumped in his car after dying from a suspected drug overdose.

The festival saw performances from the likes of Fatboy Slim, The View and Razorlight at the two-day event, which is held on the banks of Loch Ness.
