Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds festivals - new names

NME.COM reveals the latest additions

Dizzee Rascal, Secret Machines and The Long Blondes are amongst the latest names to be added to the bill for the Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds festivals.

Also confirmed for the summer event are Mystery Jets, Peaches, Gogol Bordello, Guillemots, Jet, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Fall, The Shins, Be Your Own Pet, Milburn, Plan B, Giant Drag, Slayer, Goldie Lookin Chain, Hope Of The States, and iForward Russia! and The Automatic.

Less Than Jake, Dashboard Confessional, Taking Back Sunday, Mastadon, Broken Social Scene, , 747’s, and Flogging Molly will also be taking to the stage during the three day festival, which takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend (August 25-27).

As previously reported, this year's event will be headlined by Franz Ferdinand, Muse and Pearl Jam with bands including Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys, The Raconteurs and Dirty Pretty Things also confirmed for the bill.

The Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds festivals will take place at Reading’s Richfield Avenue and Leed’s Bramham Park.

The line-up now looks like:

Reading: Friday, August 25
Leeds: Saturday, August 26
