The Scare launch NME/Radio 1 Stage at Carling Weekend: Reading Festival

The Horrors watch the punk band kick off Day One

The Scare kicked off the NME/Radio 1 Stage at Carling Weekend: Reading Festival at noon today (August 24), watched by orange-juice drinking Coffin Joe and Spider Webb of The Horrors.

Opening with ‘88’, the band performed a high-energy set despite the early hour, with singer Kiss Reid performing much of the set pressed against the crowd barrier.

A second drummer joined the band for their set and despite a broken kick drum pedal, the band tore through their eight-song set, which included tracks from their ‘Bats! Bats! Bats!’ EP[b].

The Scare played:
[b]
‘88’
‘Copeycat’
‘Vixens’
‘Cry Junkie’
‘Sister’
‘Tragedy’
‘Bats’
‘Irony’
