Video interview with the Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals headliners

Razorlight have told NME.COM that there headlining set tonight (August 24) at the Carling Weekend: Reading Festival will be the band’s “homecoming”.

Speaking in a video interview drummer Andy Burrows explained that because the event is so intertwined into the band’s history, the gig will be extra special to all four members of the group.

Reading is the homecoming,” declared Burrowns. “Two of us grew up half-an-hour away from here, and this the festival we’ve came to as kids.”

He added that even with the band being half-Swedish, the festival had a special place in all the group’s hearts.

“This is one of the places we played when we were starting out and we’ve played every year since,” he said.
