Fans turn out in force for high-octane festival set

Thousands of fans packed out the Carling Stage at today�s (August 24) Carling Weekend: Reading Festival for Jack Pe�ate�s evening slot.
Taking the stage at 20:25 GMT, Pe�ate induced a frenzied crowd to sing along, dance and wave hands throughout a set peppered with tracks from his forthcoming debut album 'Matinee'.
During �Learning Lines�, Pe�ate embarked on his trademark �Pe�ate polka� dance routine, delighting the crowd by shimmying across the stage.
Before playing �Second, Minute Or Hour�, Pe�ate, who had been uncharacteristically quiet throughout the set, said, �My voice is really shit. You may know the lyrics to the next one.� Sure anough, the crowd sang along in unison to the song.
Pe�ate ended his set with one of his hit singles �Torn On The Platform�, which received a rapturous applause and induce mass dancing among the Carling Stage crowd, before Pe�ate left the stage, clapping in appreciation to his audience.
