The band were playing the Main Stage during the early evening.
Singer Paul Smith said: “This is the first song we’re ever wrote,” before playing ’Gone Missing’.
Smith admitted that he made an error with his choice of clothes for the evening.
Wearing a white jacket for first song ’The Coast Is Always Changing’ he took it off and admitted: “You know when you make a decision but you’re a bit hung over when you do it? I think I did that with this jacket.”
Before playing ’Girls Who Play Guitars’ Smith said: “The song’s about doing whatever you want.”
He also told the crowd: “We’re from the North East so it’s nice to be here. He’s from Huddlesfield,” Smith said pointing at keyboardist Lukas Wooler.
Maximo Park played:
‘The Coast Is Always Changing’
‘Our Velocity’
‘Rebecca’
‘Limasol’
‘Girls Who Play Guitar’
‘Gone Missing’
‘Books From Boxes’
‘Apply Some Pressure’
‘Nosebleed’
‘Graffiti’
