Crowd goes mental for Canadians at the end of a scorching day

Arcade Fire went down a storm on the Main Stage tonight (August 24) at Carling Weekend: Reading.

As the sun set over one of the hottest days of the festival so far, Win Butler and co stormed through a scorching set that sent the crowd ballistic.

Security doled out hundred of litres of water to the front rows of the audience who braved the heat hours in advance of the set in order to gain the best possible vantage point from which to watch the nine-piece.

Opening with 'Keep The Car Running', the band played an immense crowd-pleasing set that featured material from both their albums, 'Funeral' and 'Neon Bible'.

Arcade Fire played:

'Keep The Car Running'
'No Cars Go'
'Haiti'
'Neighborhood #2 (Laika)'
'Black Mirror'
'Intervention'
'(Antichrist Television Blues)'
'Windowsill'
'Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)'
'Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)'
'Rebellion (Lies)'
'Wake Up'
