We Are Scientists make second appearance at Carling Weekend: Reading Festival

This time they the trio have their instruments

We Are Scientists made their second appearance at Carling Weekend: Reading Festival this evening (Augsut 25).

This time the New Yorkers had their instruments after taking part in NME's Q&A on the Alternative Stage this morning.

Packing out the the NME/Radio 1 Stage, the trio encouraging a series of loud singalongs and chants throughout their set.

"We had some problems but so did the audience - two kids died," joked bassist Chris Cane to NME.COM after the set. "By the end all agreed it had been worth it, even the kids family."

The show also marked the UK debut for the band's touring guitarist Max Snow, who blended in seamlessly into the band's set up.

After the set Cane made a not entirely serious appeal for something he lost during the set.

ï¿½I lost my balloon audience,ï¿½ he said. ï¿½I'd saved one for my son which had a picture of Julian Casablancas riding a badger into a rainbow if found please call.ï¿½
