Festival Republic launches 'the mother of all golden tickets'

Festival Republic, the promoters behind Reading/Leeds Festivals and Latitude, are giving music fans to chance to go all the 2008 events for free.

The Golden Ticket will give fans the chance the get VIP weekend camping tickets to the festivals, as well as a eight-month pass for a pair of tickets a month to any gig at the Astoria and Astoria 2 in central London between May 1 and December 31 2008.

There will also be monthly prizes.

To stand a chance of winning fans must register their details on Festivalrepublic.com.

The competition kicks off today (December 4) and will close on April 30 at 5pm.

"A lot has changed for us in the last four months, we have changed our name from Mean Fiddler to Festival Republic," explained festival chief Melvin Benn. "We have just announced the new Vineland Festival in the US and today launch our new website.

"I'm keen to mark this occasion with the mother of all golden ticket competitions to say thank you to our fans for their continued support of our festivals."

Despite initial reports Glastonbury is not part of the prize.
