NME.COM users react to Reading and Leeds 2012 line-up announcement

The Cure, Foo Fighters and Kasabian will headline the annual festival

NME.COM users have reacted to the line-up announcement for this summer's Reading And Leeds Festivals, which was unveiled earlier today (March 12).

The Cure, Foo Fighters and Kasabian will headline the event, which runs from August 24–26. Paramore, The Vaccines, Enter Shikari, At The Drive-In, The Black Keys, Bombay Bicycle Club, You Me At Six and All Time Low also play high-profile slots.

NME.COM users had a mixed response to the bill. Flor D. Turra was impressed with the bands playing, saying the festival boasted: "A killer line-up! but ATDI not playing the main stage?!"

Jamie George said the line-up was an improvement on 2011's bill, writing that it was "so much better than last year!" and Wayne Lee agreed, commenting that it was "Better and broader than last year for sure, though nothing apart from ATDI and maybe The Cure that I'd part cash for. Quite a bit of rotation from last year as well and I saw those bands then."

Joe Taylor commented: "Aside from a few acts (Foos, Black Keys, The Cure and Justice) that is an awful, awful line-up", while Luke Devine wrote: "Can't argue with the choice of headliners, but a really, really, really weak undercard. Makes last year look like a juggernaut, and that's saying something. Thank god for The Gaslight Anthem." Let us know what you think of this year's bill in the comments box below.

As well as the above, The Horrors, The Gaslight Anthem, Bullet For My Valentine, The Maccabees, The Cribs, Justice, Two Door Cinema Club, Metronomy and Katy B will also play sets.

Get the next issue of NME for exclusive interviews with Kasabian, Florence And The Machine and other big names on the bill. It'll be on UK newsstands on Wednesday (March 14) and available digitally.
