A new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 has been released.
The long-anticipated sequel to the 2010 video game Red Dead Redemption is created by Rockstar Games. They’re the same company behind the iconic Grand Theft Auto series.
Red Dead Redemption tells the story of former outlaw John Marston, whose wife and son are taken hostage by the government in ransom for his vigilante services.
Sharing the new trailer on Twitter, Rockstar Games captioned the video with, “An epic tale of life in America at the dawn of the modern age. Coming October 26, 2018 to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems.” You can see the trailer below and pre-order the game here.
The lead up to the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 has been tricky. The first trailer was released way back in October 2016 with the initial release date – Fall 2017 – coming without its release. A second trailer for the game was also released last year.
The video game company addressed the delay with a statement, released back in February. “We apologise to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish,” they wrote.
“We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it,” it added – before noting that more information on the game will be made available in “the coming weeks”.
